Hi, I'm Jani, known on YouTube as CMJani, or Chiang Mai Jani. I'm a Finnish special correspondent for Southeast Asia, with 20 years of experience in the region.
I got to know Chiang Mai's mountain trails about twenty years ago, when old friends took me to the Monk's Trail. Hundreds of forest trips have followed. I started the CMJani channel in March 2026, and it now has more than 30 videos and 38,000 views.
